Pre-Conference Technical Workshops

Use of Explosives in Demolition Works

This event is dedicated to specialists, engineers, and practitioners who want to enhance their skills in professional demolition techniques and learn about the latest advancements in the use of explosives in engineering and construction projects. We also invite those who are just beginning their journey in this field and want to understand how to plan and carry out safe and effective demolitions in practice.

During the workshops, we will focus mainly on practical topics that participants can apply in their work. We will cover, among others:

  1. Possibilities of using shaped charges in various terrain and technological conditions
  2. Modern approaches to initiating detonations – including electronic detonators, which enable precise control over the timing and sequence of explosions, while increasing safety thanks to advanced diagnostics and remote initiation options
  3. Case studies of complex demolition projects using explosives – from planning to final execution
  4. Issues related to preparation, design, and improving safety standards, as well as legal regulations concerning blasting operations

The workshops will be led by internationally recognized experts – John Wolstenholme, Robert Laszlo, and Leon Budzicz. They will present all key and practical aspects covered during the event, sharing their unique perspectives and extensive experience gained over many years of working in the field, conducting trainings, and participating in research on the safety and efficiency of explosive demolitions. Their presentations and Q&A sessions will be a unique opportunity to bridge theory and practice and learn how the most challenging projects are executed in real life.

The workshops also offer a space for open discussion, experience sharing, and building valuable professional relationships. There will be time for informal conversations, networking with practitioners from other countries, and making contacts that may prove valuable in the future.

The number of places is limited – we encourage you to register now!

The early bird registration offer is available until July 31, 2025 – don’t miss the chance to sign up at a reduced price.
